This Privacy Policy explains how Toname Shokunin / Matchup Master (the "App") handles information. The App processes information entered by users on the device to help create, save, export, print, and share tournament brackets and related materials.
1. Basic policy
The App does not send tournament data entered by users to a developer-operated external server. The App does not use third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral tracking, external analytics SDKs, or third-party ad tracking. The App does not track users for third-party advertising purposes.
2. Information handled in the App
Depending on your actions, the App may create, store, or process: - tournament names, event dates, venues, and notes; - participant names, display order, seed information, and bracket placement; - match pairings, winners, scores, results, match notes, and scheduled times; - tournament format, export settings, watermark settings, and display settings; - exported PDF files, image files, and JSON backup files; - app settings such as language, theme, screen-awake preference, and cached Pro status.
3. Storage location
Tournament data and settings are generally stored on your device. If you export a backup, that backup is saved to the destination or sharing target you select. If you save or share data through iCloud Drive, Files, AirDrop, email, messages, cloud storage, social networks, or other services, the handling of that data is governed by the destination service and your choices.
4. Information not collected by the developer
The App does not collect the following through a developer-operated server: - contact information such as name, address, phone number, or email address; - precise location; - contacts, calendars, or photo library contents; - browsing history or search history; - advertising identifiers, IDFA, or advertising tracking information; - health, financial, or sensitive information; - uploaded tournament data, participant names, or match results.
5. Device permissions
The App does not automatically access location, contacts, microphone, camera, or photo library contents. When you share or save PDFs, images, backups, or other files, iOS/iPadOS/macOS system features such as the share sheet, file saving, printing, or other system services may be used based on your explicit action.
6. Purchase information
To check Pro access, the App uses Apple's StoreKit and App Store transaction information. The App may read information provided by StoreKit, such as purchased product identifiers, subscription entitlement status, expiration date, auto-renewal status, and next renewal product identifier. The App does not receive your credit card number, bank account, Apple Account password, or billing address. Payments, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple.
7. Price information and cache
The App may store App Store-provided display price strings and cached Pro status locally on the device to keep the purchase and settings screens stable. This information is not sent to a developer-operated server.
8. Backups and restore
If you export a backup, the backup may include tournament names, participant names, match information, and settings. Backup files may contain personal information, so you are responsible for where they are stored, shared, deleted, or redistributed. If you import a backup, the tournament data in that file is saved on your device.
9. Exported files
PDFs and images may include tournament names, participant names, match results, event dates, notes, and watermarks. If you share, print, post, or save exported files to another service, their handling is governed by the destination, recipients, print environment, and your choices. Please review exported content before sharing if it includes private or unreleased tournament information.
10. Apple system features
App Store, StoreKit, review prompts, crash logs, diagnostics, purchase history, refunds, and subscription management may be processed by Apple under Apple's privacy practices. The developer does not directly receive or manage all information handled by Apple.
11. External transfer and third-party disclosure
The App does not send tournament data to a developer-operated server and does not provide data to third parties for advertising purposes. However, if you use the share sheet, file saving, email, messages, cloud services, social networks, print services, or similar services to send, save, or share data, that action transfers data to the destination service or recipient selected by you.
12. Deleting data
You can delete tournament data stored on the device by deleting tournaments in the App. Deleting the App usually deletes app data stored on the device. However, exported PDFs, images, backups, shared files, cloud copies, and recipient copies cannot be deleted from within the App.
13. Data retention
Tournament data remains on the device until you delete it, delete the App, reset the device, lose the device data, encounter storage corruption, or another OS or storage event removes it. Purchase status and display price caches may be stored locally to display purchase state and pricing information.
14. Children's privacy
The App is not intended to collect personal information from children. If you enter or share names, affiliations, or results of minors, you are responsible for obtaining necessary consent from parents, guardians, schools, organizations, or event organizers and handling that information carefully.
15. Security
The App uses on-device storage and standard iOS/iPadOS/macOS system features. However, information may be viewed by others if your device is lost, accessed by another person, shared to an unintended destination, stored in cloud services, or included in backup files. We recommend using device passcodes, keeping the OS updated, reviewing content before sharing, and deleting unnecessary backups.
16. User choices
You can: - create, edit, and delete tournament data; - export, keep, or delete backups; - review PDFs and images before sharing; - manage subscriptions through Apple's settings; - delete the App to remove local app data from the device.
17. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated due to feature changes, legal changes, App Store requirements, or internal data structure changes. Important changes may be announced in the App, on the App Store, or by other appropriate means.
18. This website and support messages
This website does not display advertising or load external fonts. Where browser storage is permitted, your language-notice choice is saved in your browser to avoid repeating the notice. This preference is not sent to the developer. The hosting provider may process standard technical access logs, including IP addresses and request information, to deliver and protect the website. When you contact support, your email address, message, and any files you choose to send are processed to respond to your request. Please do not send passwords, payment card details, or unnecessary participant information.
19. Website analytics
The public website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used and improve its content. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages viewed, referral information, and browser and device information. This information is sent to and processed by Google. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled in this website’s tag configuration. This analytics tag is not included in the app and does not send tournament data or backup files. You can manage cookies through your browser settings or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on on supported browsers.
